I've been thinking a lot about death lately. Not in a morbid sense, of course. But I wonder how hard it would be to lose one's husband or wife, how difficult it would be to let go. Or how hard it would be to leave one behind.

Thank you. ^^ I didn't actually paint all of those links, though. I clipped pieces out of a photograph and morphed them around his body in Photoshop, then added a few extra touches over the top. It was still hard work, just not as hard as painting all those tiny circles would have been.... ick.

okay, my initial comment was kind of lame. :XD:

this is a *really* great piece! I really admire the fact that even though you referenced a photo of a woman, you were able to bring out a completely different kind of face in the painting. actually a really good technique; I should try it sometime..

and once again, the detail. geez. :faint:
