The Devourer by *Elandain "This piece is captivating and definitely holds an adventurous feel.wonderful technique was used to compose this. It looks rather simple until you full view it, that's when you can really notice the realism and wonderful detail. I love the soft almost monochromatic colours." Critiques

:iconchikaex0tica:
This piece is incredibly captivating. From the color and lighting treatment, to the whole concept behind it.

Excellent fur, mouth and arrow belt detailing. The light and shadow, are simply perfectly achieved.

Amazing work on the fire and the fire sparks. The warm tones chosen all throughout the picture, create the perfect atmosphere. I love how except for the eyes, you never really went with black, kept it at a dark brown at the darkest.

The rage of the character is very well transmitted through its facial and body expressions, and the mix between human and animal is so well achieved that its almost imperceptible for a second, at a first glance.

Excellent work!

The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

Thanks much, as always. I'm pretty proud of this one, too. Especially because it took me half the time I'd have expected it to!

For now we see as through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

I think I speak for everyone everywhere when I say that if I ever saw a lion with a bow and flaming arrow, doing that, it would probably be the most terrifying experience of my life.

Amazing job with the expression, as well as the anthro stance in general. It looks very smooth, and you did a lovely job with the fur and the fire. I love it all.

Christian and proud, baby. :3 What else can I say?

Strange how certain the journey
Time unfolds the petals
For our eyes to see
Strange how this journey's hurting
In ways we accept as part of fate's decree

Your work is very impressive!
The facial expression, the mane, the muscles, the fire - so exactly! I can understand the force and also recognize the anger. Great! My esteem!
Thanks for this dev!

“But around 1700, there was a 2.2°C rise in just 36 years.”

Unless there is a geological reason for that warming, it is pretty much certain that a 36 year trend would have had to have been global in nature. Energy has a way of being redistributed.
