The title says it all. I suppose you could say the style is Carravaggio-inspired.
It's been a long time since I've been this excited to finish a painting. It was just one of those things where you get an idea in your head, and it just won't go away until you finish it. I really love how it turned out. Comments and crits welcome, as always. Corel Painter X Wacom Intuos 3 About 2 weeks CommentsWow, that is REALLY good... It's sweet... and sad...
-- Think your life sucks? A man's family was drowned while he was helpless to save him. He was trapped in a pit for days without food. He fell from a cliff and was attacked by mites. He survived all these trials, despite his opposition. His name was Ripred. That is so beautiful, I can't look away from it at all. The amount of detail in this is astounding, and the emotion in this is incredible. It really shows the sadness of their realization, and the strength of their friendship. Kudos to you, this is excellent. -- The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. Avatar made by *Dawgjr ;w; <333 You're very welcome, you truly deserve it! Makes me wonder why this isn't on the front page though...

The emotion is so powerful and real. It's just beautiful. It also reminds me of life sometimes. (not a dragon of course) you love someone and you're good friends, but you know their life just can't last as long. Wonderful piece of artwork, my friend!
-- I Believe in Christ Jesus who saved me. He is my life and I'm praying for all of you. Thanks very much. If it makes you think about life or death, or love and friendship, that's what I was aiming at. I'm glad to hear that it worked and that you like it.
-- For now we see as through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. |
